PLAYTESTING
A game can look great on paper, but the only way to discover whether it really works is to play it. Playtesting is helping us refine Project Golf Board Game — from shot outcomes and strategy to board layout, putting and the overall pace of the game.
WHAT WE ARE TESTING
Every playtest gives us something new to examine. We are testing whether players face meaningful choices on every shot, whether the dice produce believable golf without becoming predictable, whether hazards and cards add strategy rather than frustration, and whether putting feels like a natural conclusion to each hole.
We are also watching something just as important — whether the game is enjoyable, easy to understand and keeps everyone involved from the first tee to the final putt.
HOW WE PLAYTEST
We started by testing the game ourselves, then introduced it to friends and golfers who could give us fresh eyes and honest feedback. Each session helps us identify what works, what needs changing and what simply needs throwing out and trying again.
As development progresses, we’ll widen the testing to people who have never played the game before — including both golfers and tabletop gamers. That is when we’ll really discover whether Project Golf Board Game works without its creators sitting at the table explaining it.
WANT TO HELP PLAYTEST?
As Project Golf Board Game develops, we are looking for people to help put the game through its paces.
You do not need to be an expert golfer or an experienced tabletop gamer. In fact, we want feedback from both — as well as people completely new to either.
If you would like to take part in future playtests, register your interest below. We will be in touch when suitable playtesting opportunities become available.
